In the late nineteenth century, endurance cyclists joined group rides to cover long distances within a set time limit, proving themselves audax — Latin for “audacious.”

During the GranGuanche Audax, the time limit is set by the ferry departures to the next islands. The Audax is not a race — it’s a personal challenge and a collective adventure.
